Susan G Komen

I ran in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure the weekend before last (June 12) here in Plano, TX. It was a 5k, so it wasn't too bad.

To the left is me and Josh Williams, a good friend and coworker. Josh and I went to Southeastern together. He's running for his mom, and we're both running for Katrina Owens.

It's almost June!

So we have been super busy this past month getting everything ready for July. Congrats to Ainsley and Hugh on graduating fron high school this month! Ainsley, good luck at LSU and Hugh good luck in the Army. We know both of you will do great in the years to come!
Also, thank you to all the family who came to my baby shower! It was great! And special THANKS to Suzie, Ashley, Mom, and Aunt Fan for putting it all together for me. I really appricate it. It was great getting to see everyone! Its one big thing I miss about LA, the food and family!
So everything is going great with the baby girl so far! She likes to kick at night and sleep all day. Hopefully once she is born that will change! Her crib came in and Andrew has put it together as well as her dresser. He also got in her crib to make sure it wouldn't fall apart. Since her room is painted and ready, we are just putting all the final touches in there and deciding where to put everything. I feel like its unpacking all over again! Lucky she has a big closet and plenty of room, but it seems I keep finding things I think she needs!
Well, all for now! Have a GREAT and safe Memorial Day Weekend!

The Baby's Room!

(andrew posting, 5/3/10)

So, yesterday afternoon I finished painting my little princess's bedroom. It is complete with Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine surrounding the room. The fourth wall is for the fourth princess (my daughter).

Started this project a week or so before Easter, and finished drawing it on the walls, and had the help of Ainsley painting over Easter weekend. I had to hurry and finish it so Miriam could be happy (haha, the nesting has begun).

Sure...I'll paint Disney murals on your wall as long as you provide me with proof of residency so I don't get chased down by the Disney Police, haha.

This is one wall featuring the Little Mermaid:

This is part of the wall with the window featuring Beauty and the Beast (minus the beast)

This is the other part of the wall with the window, featuring Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip:

Jasmine's wall...

Me rubbing the magic lamp (the lamp was painted at the height of the top of her crib, to look like it's sitting on the crib.

Enjoy!

SNOW!!!!

It snowed in Dallas, and the greater area. We got 6 1/2 inches! We still had to go to work on Thursday and might have to go in in a little while today if we can get out.

Happy Birthday Miriam!

Yesterday, Jan 24, was Miriam's birthday and I hope that I made it as perfect as could be. We started off with a Ross pancake breakfast, and then went and saw Leap Year with Amy Adams. After that I took her to the Coach outlet at the Allen Premium Outlets to get a new purse! Unfortunately she didn't find one she really loved - so we are going to look around and she'll just get a slightly belated birthday present. After that we shopped around some, looking mostly at baby stuff, then we went home and waited for the Saints game to come on. For dinner I made her steak & sausage kabobs with Ross homemade mashed potatoes, and we ate in the candlelight. To finish off her birthday, the Saints decided to go to the Super Bowl!!

Anyway, hopefully she enjoyed her birthday!

Little One on the way

We found out in December that we have a little one on the way!! Trying to think of names for it - maybe Junior if it's a boy, or Elizabeth Ann if it's a girl. We won't find out until March though since Miriam is only 13 weeks (and 1 day) along so far, but we definitely want to know. Can't wait!!

I (Andrew) want a boy, but will most definitely be just as happy with a girl! We can't wait!

The picture is of the first ultrasound that was taken on December 18th, I think he/she is about 2 centimeters long at that point. I still need to scan in the latest ultrasound picture - it's a lot blurrier though because apparently the kid takes after his father, in that he/she is a little jumper! We didn't get to hear the heartbeat either because he/she was jumping around too much.
